Medical Assistant – Join Our Team!

North Texas Infectious Diseases Consultants (NTIDC) is looking for an experienced and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team! This is a great opportunity for a motivated healthcare professional who enjoys providing hands-on patient care while working closely with physicians, patients, pharmacies, hospitals, and other healthcare partners.

What You’ll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting our patients and clinical team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing patients for physician visits and assisting with clinical procedures
• Providing hands-on clinical support, including injections, lab draws, sterile dressings, and other patient care
• Managing prescription refill requests and updating medication records
• Scheduling diagnostic testing and assisting with insurance pre-certifications
• Coordinating patient assistance medications with pharmaceutical companies
• Communicating with patients, families, physicians, pharmacies, and hospital personnel
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Assisting with disability paperwork and other patient documentation
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment
• Assisting with front-office responsibilities such as scheduling, phones, and filing when needed
• Participating in ongoing education, training, and performance improvement activities

What We’re Looking For

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program
• Current certification through a nationally recognized certification program
• 1–2 years of Medical Assistant/medical technician experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working directly with patients and healthcare professionals
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn electronic medical record systems
