Position Summary We are seeking a PRN Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide outpatient care Monday through Friday. The PMHNP will conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medication, and collaborate with the care team to promote client health and safety. Essential Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ensure medical necessity for all enrolled individuals. Provide medication management services and be available on-site at least weekly, with telephone access during urgent situations. Provide consultation, education, and related information to patients and families to enhance treatment engagement. Direct and collaborate with staff on clinical activities and interventions. Complete medical record documentation promptly and accurately to meet clinical and payer requirements. Perform additional duties as requested by the Director and assume other appropriate medical responsibilities. Qualifications Experience with mental health PHP/IOP and/or psychiatric hospital settings is desired. Superior communication skills when working with patients, families, community stakeholders, and staff. Experience with co-occurring or substance use disorders is advantageous. Ability to work independently, responsibly, and with a high level of integrity. Education & Credentials Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Colorado with full prescriptive authority. Working knowledge of psychotherapy, psychopathology, diagnostic assessment, and treatment interventions. Knowledge of evidence-based treatments and ability to individualize treatment plans. Three or more years of psychological experience. Other Requirements Valid driver’s license with an acceptable three‑year driving record. Active and clear DEA License. Background check clearance in accordance with regulatory requirements.
