40-HOURS PER WEEK
STARTING SALARY: $44,471.00- $58,743.00

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• CDL License with Air Brake Endorsement
• D.O.T. Medical Card

STATEMENT OF GENERAL DUTIES:

• Receives all supplies and equipment for the department.
• Carries or trucks supplies to storage area, fills and delivers requisitions, organizes, and maintains storage area in a neat and clean condition.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interpret specifications on orders and invoices.
• Check quality, weight and specifications on all goods received.
• Report to supervisor receipt of supplies that are damaged or do not meet specifications.
• Store and rotate stock and equipment correctly.
• Secure signature of person authorized to accept goods.
• Assist supervisor in keeping perpetual inventory and taking physical inventory.
• Keeps warehouse, freezers, walk-ins, yard, and all other storage areas in clean and sanitary condition.
• Informs supervisor of oversupply and under supply of any item.
• Accountable for maintenance of all warehouse equipment and trucks.
• Performs all duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
• Truck driving work in connection with any phase of municipal operations: related work as required; performed under general supervision.

*This position is in accordance with the Agreement between the City of Bridgeport and American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 1522. The salary range is for a List B, promotional opportunity position, and to commensurate with experience and qualifications.
