Job Description

Job Summary:
Perform laboratory testing in the Core Lab and Blood Banking departments, supporting emergency and outpatient surgery services. Ensure accurate, timely results by utilizing clinical laboratory skills and maintaining high standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct various laboratory procedures within the Core Lab and Blood Banking departments, adhering to established protocols.
• Perform limited outpatient phlebotomy to assist with specimen collection and processing.
• Maintain accurate documentation of test results and laboratory logs.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation, including Beaker and SoftLab systems.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
• Comply with safety regulations and quality assurance policies at all times.

Qualifications:

• Hold current ASCP certification or equivalent credential.
• Demonstrate recent, high-volume hospital-based Core Lab experience.
• Possess strong skills in clinical laboratory testing and specimen handling.
• Be proficient with laboratory information systems, particularly Beaker and SoftLab.
• Exhibit excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Be able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
