Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring ARDMS certification and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

• Work in the Echocardiography department of a Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center
• Facility has 7 imaging rooms that can accommodate Echo studies
• Adult inpatient and outpatient population
• Perform routine structural heart Echos, including TEE and Stress Tests
• Average of 60-70 patients seen per day
• Uses Cerner EMR and Philips ultrasound equipment
• 40 hours per week on a variable schedule
• Weekend rotation required, done in rotation with other staff
• Call rotation typically 1 night per week (preferred)
• Holiday coverage considered part of weekend/call rotation (preferred)
• Floating limited to within the facility

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Cardiac Sonographer
• BLS certification required
• ARDMS certification required
• CCI-RCS certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• Compact or Maine state license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Supported by an Echo Supervisor, 6-9 additional sonographers, and 7 Cardiologists
• 1 week orientation provided
• Teal scrub color required
• Free parking available
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Permanent address must be located 100+ miles South/Southwest of the facility for consideration
• Candidates who have previously worked in a permanent capacity at any Northern Light Health Hospital are not eligible
• Time off requests require manager approval
• Flu vaccination required for clearance to start, with medical exemptions only accepted upon client review
