Position Highlights

Responsibilities

Evaluation

• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments

• Complete clinical interviews and records reviews

• Interpret assessment data and prepare comprehensive reports

• Participate in multidisciplinary staffing meetings and ARD/IEP committees

• Utilize educational documentation systems and evaluation platforms

Intervention

• Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs)

• Develop Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)

• Provide counseling and psychological services as outlined in student IEPs

• Support Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs)

• Collaborate with campus teams regarding behavioral and academic interventions

Prevention

• Deliver staff development and training

• Support MTSS implementation and intervention systems

• Assist teachers and administrators with classroom-based behavioral strategies

• Promote proactive social-emotional and behavioral supports

Qualifications

• Active Texas LSSP or School Psychologist credential

• Master's degree in School Psychology or related field

• School-based experience preferred

• Strong assessment, report writing, and consultation skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple campuses

The School Psychologist works to support students through a variety of mental health and developmental issues and aids in qualifying students for additional support services. The School Psychologist is responsible for providing on-site psychological services to students under the jurisdiction of the state and district.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must maintain current State licensures and/or certifications in state of assignment

• Experience in pediatric and adolescent population is preferred

• Master’s degree in psychology preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
