Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) for assigned patients, consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families at appropriate levels of practice. Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocol; monitors side-effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources. Job Requirements Education/Skills: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred. Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: BLS required; RN License in state of employment or a compact state.
