Job Title: Nursing PositionThis position provides professional nursing care for residents to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times within a safe environment; maintains medical records, administers medications, and develops patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals; offers emotional and social support, and attends residents overall physical comfortThe following duties are normal for this position These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily Other duties may be required and assignedProvides for resident safety, comfort and well-beingReviews and administers medicationsAssesses the condition of residents; monitors for changes in condition and responds with appropriate actionCommunicates resident needs or condition changes to physician, family and other staffPerforms various treatments including dressing changes, catheter care and/or insertion, etcDocuments tasks regarding medications passed, assessments, communications with physician and family, etcReview resident care plans; completes documentationCompiles information requested for physician reviewsAssigns, directs, reviews and trains staff workCleans, organizes and provides supplies for medical carts and roomsResponds to resident requests by assisting to bathroom, walking, medication requests, etcProvides direct patient care including repositioning, hygiene, assessing skin needs, etcReceives information from prior shift; reports information to following shiftVerifies narcotics counts at shift beginning and endingRequests medications from pharmacy; enters new medication orders; transcribes orders; faxes orders to pharmacy; pulls medication to returnReports to oncoming shiftsOther duties as assignedEducation and experience requirements:Associates Degree in NursingPrevious experience working with the elderly or disabled population groups preferredRegistered Nurse LicenseMust successfully pass criminal and caregiver background checkPosting pay range: $30.04-$40.43Posting expected pay range: $30.04-$33.65Department: HHS - Health Care CampusFTE: On-CallBenefits include a generous PTO package, 10 recognized paid holidays, flexible scheduling, excellent health insurance, health and wellness program and incentives, competitive salary, training and development opportunities, WRS (Wisconsin Retirement System) contribution, and tuition loan forgiveness
