Quality Engineer

Location: Oro Valley, AZ

Type: Direct Hire

Schedule: M-F (4/36 or 8-hour shifts)

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
• Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality systems
• Strong background in root cause analysis, corrective actions, audits, and process improvement
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE, FMEA, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma
• Aerospace experience preferred; electronics manufacturing highly preferred
• FAA Repair Station experience and ASQ CQE/CQA certifications are a plus
• Leadership and customer/supplier interaction experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Support Quality Manager in maintaining product and process quality
• Lead internal/external audits and AS9100 compliance activities
• Drive corrective actions, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform supplier and customer quality audits and reviews
• Develop inspection and control plans, First Article Inspections (AS9102), and quality documentation
• Analyze quality metrics, reliability data, FRACAS reports, and DPPM performance
• Participate in MRB activities and calibration program oversight
• Utilize statistical and Lean tools to improve manufacturing processes

Preferred Experience

• Printed circuit board (PCB) electronics manufacturing
• J-STD and IPC standards
• FAA regulations (14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 65, 120, & 145)
• PLM systems, MRP systems, and Microsoft Office
