Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Programmer/Machinist to join our client’s manufacturing team in Mishawaka, IN. This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision components while maintaining tight tolerances and production standards. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint-reading skills, experience with CNC programming and machining processes, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Read and interpret blueprints, dimensional data, and surface locations.
2. Determine the sequence of shaping operations and select appropriate tooling and inserts
3. Validate programs using Mastercam software
4. Write or modify existing CNC programs and store them electronically
5. Operate CNC milling machine tool capacities, limitations, machinability of materials, and shop math
6. Perform dimensional validation using micrometers, calipers, and other relevant dimensional checking tools
7. Set up mills or lathes by installing and adjusting jaws, vises, stops, and all material holding devices
8. Obtain and transfer stock to machines manually or with an overhead crane
9. Log all work activities into labor reporting software throughout the working day
10. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
11. All necessary PPE is provided, including safety glasses, earplugs, jackets, and breathable weld helmets

Qualifications & Skills

1. High school diploma or equivalent. CNC technical degree or equivalent certificate programs are desired
2. Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in CNC milling and turning metal removal production systems
3. Minimum 5 years of working experience in a CNC environment
4. Experience with Mitsubishi, Haas, controls, Mastercam, and Solidworks CAD is desirable
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints
6. Ability to work overtime as required

Employment Type & Compensation

1. This is a Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position
2. Pay rate is $28.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience
3. Application Window: Open until filled

1. Monday – Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:15 PM
