Front Desk Team Lead

TNT Strong is Southern Maryland's premier fitness facility, offering 24/7 gym access, personal training, semi-private coaching, large group training, nutrition coaching, recovery services and a high-energy community focused on helping people transform their lives. We are looking for a motivated, organized, energetic and leadership-driven person to step into our Front Desk Team Lead role. This position reports to the Operations Manager. This is not simply a front desk coverage role. It is a leadership position responsible for member experience, front desk systems, sales flow, team accountability, facility presentation, and front-end execution standards.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Front Desk Team Lead is the operational leader of the front desk department, working closely with management to make sure systems, standards and member experience are consistently delivered at a high level. You should treat the front-end experience as your responsibility and take ownership of improving the department every week.

SCHEDULE

Minimum 30 hours per week, including a minimum of 5 front desk shifts weekly plus dedicated leadership and admin hours. Some evenings and Saturdays required. Must be dependable, organized and responsive.

COMPENSATION

Front desk hours starting at $18.00 per hour; leadership and admin hours starting at $20.00 per hour. Commission opportunities on memberships and programs sold. Monthly performance bonuses up to $350 per month and quarterly leadership bonuses up to $250 per quarter. Strong performance and ownership create opportunities for compensation growth and advancement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and team development: lead and support Front Desk Associates, assist with onboarding and training, maintain accountability and standards, help run front desk meetings and evaluations, and communicate effectively with management. Member experience and sales: manage leads and appointment flow, confirm appointments and follow-ups, conduct cancellation appointments, support membership sales and retention, and help improve show rates and conversions. Operations and organization: maintain front desk cleanliness and organization, ensure systems and checklists are completed, handle inventory and supply ordering, manage overdue account follow-up, and assist with reporting. Marketing and community: assist with social media coordination, create member spotlight opportunities, help with promotions and outreach, and support community engagement.

BENEFITS AND OTHER COMPENSATION

Full-time employees average at least 35 hours per week and become eligible for TNT Strong company-sponsored benefits after a 90-day introductory period: paid vacation starting at 10 days per year, increasing to 12 days at 2 years and 15 days at 4+ years; 40 hours of company-paid sick leave per benefit year; 16 hours of paid personal leave per benefit year; and six paid eight-hour holiday credits for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. All employees receive Maryland Earned Sick and Safe Leave as required by law. Complimentary employee gym access and complimentary childcare are available during eligible periods, subject to facility rules, capacity and program terms.
