Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Reg Location: Clara Maass Medical Center Department Name: Respiratory Care Req #: Status: Hourly Shift: Night Pay Range: $46.99 - $57.36 per hour Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: The primary function of a Respiratory Therapist is to provide respiratory care to a variety of inpatients and outpatients. The scope of duty includes therapeutic, diagnostic, educational and invasive procedures for adults. Qualifications: Required: Registered Respiratory Therapist Current NJ Respiratory license RRT/CRT (Required). Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. CRT Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions): Full-Time Night Essential Functions: Helps patient accomplish treatment plan and, supports life by administering inhalants, and operating mechanical ventilators. Therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators. Administers respiratory therapy treatments by performing bronchopulmonary drainage. Assisting with breathing exercises; monitoring physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes; and directing treatments given by aides, technicians, and assistants.
