Summary of Responsibilities:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, person-centered care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitoring resident well-being, documenting care, and supporting each resident's comfort, dignity, safety, and independence. Working under the supervision of licensed nursing staff or designated leadership, the CNA collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality care in accordance with individualized service plans, company policies, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Employees are expected to maintain required certifications, competencies, and training while upholding resident confidentiality, professionalism, and a commitment to exceptional service.

Essential Functions/ Duties:

Essential duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, transfers, dining assistance, and personal hygiene while promoting resident dignity, independence, and choice.
• Observe residents' physical, emotional, and behavioral well-being and promptly communicate changes in condition to the appropriate supervisor or licensed nurse.
• Assist with resident mobility, transportation, repositioning, restorative care, and engagement in activities that promote quality of life.
• Respond promptly to resident requests, call systems, emergencies, and incidents while ensuring resident safety and comfort.
• Accurately document resident care, observations, and assigned clinical information in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Assist licensed nursing staff with delegated resident care tasks within the scope of certification, training, and state regulations.
• Provide meal assistance, hydration support, and monitor residents' nutritional needs as assigned.
• Maintain resident rooms, common areas, and workspaces in a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming environment.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, healthcare providers, and team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
• Follow all company policies, infection prevention protocols, resident rights, HIPAA requirements, safety procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Participate in shift reports, training, quality improvement initiatives, and emergency preparedness activities while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Support operational needs by assisting coworkers, mentoring new team members when assigned, and providing scheduling flexibility or coverage at other company locations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work:

• Full-time, part-time, PRN available

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing in the applicable state.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous experience in assisted living, personal care, senior living, long-term care, or a healthcare setting preferred.
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional resident-centered care.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize changes in resident condition, respond appropriately to emergencies, and maintain confidentiality.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to accurately complete electronic documentation.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to safely lift, transfer, and assist residents, perform physical caregiving duties, and work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain certification within the required timeframe.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks, pre-employment screenings, orientation, and ongoing training, and be authorized to work in the United States.
