Job Description

This role combines warehouse operations with hands-on production work on an inspection line within a manufacturing environment for optical lenses. You will perform visual inspections, support inventory control, and pull orders while handling materials safely and efficiently. The position requires consistent attention to detail, strong hand-eye coordination, and the ability to lift and move products throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of products on the inspection line, checking for scratches and other defects to ensure quality standards.
• Support production activities related to the manufacturing of optical lenses by following established procedures and work instructions.
• Conduct inventory-related tasks, including counting, organizing, and tracking materials and finished goods.
• Pull and prepare orders accurately from warehouse inventory according to order documentation.
• Lift, load, and move materials and products weighing up to 50 lbs safely and efficiently.
• Assist with warehouse operations such as stocking, staging, and organizing products and materials.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area in both warehouse and production spaces.
• Communicate clearly in English to read, write, and follow instructions, labels, and shipping or production documentation.
• Support international shipping activities by handling, organizing, or preparing materials as directed.
• Work at different locations, including sites in Rancho Dominguez and Torrance, as workload and business needs require.

Essential Skills

• Experience working in a warehouse environment with responsibilities such as order pulling, lifting, and loading.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand for extended periods while performing production and inspection tasks.
• Strong attention to detail to identify scratches and defects during visual inspections.
• Good hand-eye coordination for handling optical lenses and related components.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English in order to follow instructions, complete documentation, and communicate with team members.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday on a set schedule (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., depending on assignment).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Background or familiarity with warehouse filler or material handling roles (IOT-Warehouse Filler or similar experience).
• Exposure to international shipping processes or documentation.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, particularly with optical or precision products.
• Flexibility to work at multiple sites based on workload and operational needs.
• Reliability and punctuality to support a consistent Monday–Friday schedule.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a manufacturing facility focused on the production and inspection of optical lenses. You will spend most of the day standing while performing visual inspections and handling materials, requiring consistent attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination. The environment includes both warehouse and production areas where lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs is common. The assignment is scheduled for Monday–Friday, with typical hours of 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. for warehouse filler activities and 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. for international shipping-related tasks. Work may occur at more than one site, including locations in Rancho Dominguez and Torrance, depending on workload and operational needs. Dress expectations align with a manufacturing and warehouse setting, where practical, safe attire and appropriate footwear are necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rancho Dominguez, CA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
