Summary Responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience at The Food Shack. Responsible for keeping stations stocked, clean, and organized and helping to maintain a clean and well‑organized restaurant at all times. Responsibilities Deliver a positive customer experience and go the extra mile for guests. Greet and welcome all guests. Take guests’ orders. Answer phone calls and assist customers. Run food to tables and bag take‑out orders. Maintain cleanliness of dining and contact areas. Ensure customer self‑service stations are clean, stocked, and orderly. Notify management of upcoming product shortages. Keep service supply areas fully stocked and orderly, including beverage cooler and retail area. Supervise second servers/service crew for tasks such as food running, bagging, cleaning, stocking, and side‑work during downtime. Prepare and portion acai bowls. Encourage a proactive and team‑oriented attitude; uphold company mission, vision, and core values. Qualifications Previous experience in a fast‑paced restaurant environment (preferred, but training provided). Proficiency using POS systems and cash registers. Strong customer service skills focused on satisfaction. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices. Experience in upselling and increasing sales through recommendations. Physical ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs. Professional and presentable at all times. Schedule Weekly schedule provided before the start of each work week. Open Monday–Saturday, 11 am–8 pm. Availability required on Monday and Saturday. Compensation & Benefits $3.89 per hour plus 90 % of credit‑card tip pool. 100 % of cash tips. Guaranteed minimum $20. Employee discount. Flexible schedule. Paid training.
