Key Responsibilities:
Strategic EHS Leadership
- Lead Environmental, Health, Safety, and Risk Management strategy across a multi-site manufacturing organization.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive and operational leadership regarding safety performance, compliance, and risk management.
- Develop long-term EHS strategies that support organizational growth and operational excellence.
- Utilize leading indicators, trend analysis, and proactive risk assessment methodologies to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS policies, systems, procedures, and programs.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and risk mitigation efforts.
- Conduct hazard assessments and support organization-wide safety initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement and ownership in safety performance.
- Support expansion initiatives involving automation, robotics, autonomous material handling systems, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Facilities, and Quality teams to identify and mitigate emerging risks.
- Provide leadership on capital projects and future manufacturing initiatives.
- Support environmental compliance initiatives and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Assist with sustainability efforts, environmental reporting, and customer compliance requests.
- Monitor emerging environmental regulations and industry trends.
- Help shape the future structure of the EHS organization.
- Identify staffing, resource, and capability needs as the business continues to grow.
- Mentor and develop future EHS talent.
- Serve as a trusted business partner throughout the organization.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Environmental Science, Business, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience within EHS, Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Facilities, or related industrial environments.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations within a complex industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety programs, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, lead change, and build organizational trust.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Multi-site EHS leadership experience.
- Experience supporting advanced manufacturing, robotics, automation, or highly engineered products.
- Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence experience.
- Experience building programs, systems, and organizational capabilities from the ground up.
- CSP, CIH, CHMM, or other related certifications.
