4x12 Night Shifts (19:00 - 07:00), every other weekend

Job Description

The MedSurg RN will be part of a dedicated team providing exceptional, evidence-based care in an Intermediate Care unit (IMCU). This role requires managing acute care patients who need specialized attention as part of a multi-disciplinary approach. Responsibilities include patient monitoring, airway management, IV therapy, and collaboration with a variety of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for adult acute care patients with continuous monitoring.
• Maintain appropriate patient ratios (1:5 to 1:7).
• Administer IV therapy and manage peripheral line care.
• Respond to emergencies and manage dysrhythmias.
• Utilize telemetry and cardiac monitoring equipment.
• Implement isolation precautions and utilize PPE as needed.
• Perform phlebotomy and other patient care activities as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York RN license is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of MedSurg nursing experience.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Must have EPIC charting experience.
• Cardiac monitoring experience is essential.
