Manager of Peer Support Services - St. Louis Treatment Court

Position Summary

PreventEd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager of Peer Support Services to lead and oversee peer support programming within the St. Louis Treatment Court. This leadership position plays a critical role in advancing recovery-oriented services for individuals impacted by substance use disorders and involved in the justice system.

The Manager of Peer Support Services will provide direct supervision, coaching, and support to Certified Peer Specialists while serving as the primary liaison between PreventEd and the St. Louis Treatment Court team. The successful candidate will champion recovery principles, ensure high-quality service delivery, support program development, and foster a trauma-informed, culturally responsive team culture. Required: Personal lived experience with substance use recovery and the ability to share that experience thoughtfully and professionally to promote hope, engagement, and recovery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership and Supervision

• Supervise, coach, and support Certified Peer Specialists assigned to the St. Louis Treatment Court.
• Provide regular individual and group supervision focused on performance, professional growth, and peer ethics.
• Support onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development of peer staff.
• Foster a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive team environment.
• Ensure adherence to peer role boundaries, ethical standards, and certification requirements.

Program Management

• Ensure peer services meet PreventEd, funding, and treatment court standards.
• Monitor documentation, productivity, service quality, and program outcomes.
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with scheduling, workload distribution, and staff coverage.
• Collaborate with leadership on program development, expansion, and funding opportunities.

Treatment Court Collaboration

• Serve as the primary liaison between PreventEd Peer Supports and the St. Louis Treatment Court team.
• Participate in treatment court staffing meetings and collaborative planning efforts.
• Coordinate with court leadership, probation and parole staff, treatment providers, and community partners.
• Align peer support services with treatment court goals, participant expectations, and program phases.
• Support strategies that improve participant engagement, retention, and successful program completion.
• Address barriers to participation and connect participants to recovery supports and community resources.

Compliance and Documentation

• Maintain documentation in compliance with agency, contractual, grant, and court requirements.
• Support data collection, reporting, and outcome monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and court confidentiality requirements.

Required Qualifications

The following qualifications are required and applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be considered:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, Education, Community Organization, or a closely related field.
• Current Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification.
• Lived experience in recovery from a substance use disorder.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in peer support, behavioral health, recovery services, or a related field.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and justice system partners.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the community.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
• Experience working with justice-involved populations and/or treatment courts.
• Knowledge of recovery-oriented systems of care and trauma-informed practices.
• Experience participating in coalition or community partnership work.
