Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Coos Bay, Oregon. Start date: 06/16/2026. Estimated duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,926-$1,971. Shift: 3x12-hour nights. Setting: hospital-based ER. This travel position is Temporary Assignment with no guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities
- Apply the nursing process to the care of patients within the ER, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Triage incoming patients and continuously monitor and document patient status, responding to changes in condition promptly.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments; monitor for adverse reactions and document responses.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Document all patient interactions, care plans, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record; provide patient and family education.
- Support patient safety and comfort, assist with procedures, and participate in discharge planning and patient throughput as needed.

Requirements
- Oregon RN license; active status not required at submission but must be willing to obtain if not active.
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience; recent acute care hospital experience required within the past 2 years.
- ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications; must be current or willing to obtain if not active at submission.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3x12) and participate in on-call and weekend scheduling as determined by the facility.
- Strong documentation skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes ER environment.
