Audit Manager

Audit Manager An established, independent public accounting firm in Western Massachusetts is hiring an Audit Manager to fill a key gap on its assurance team. You'll run audit engagements across a genuinely varied client base --- nonprofit, health care, manufacturing, construction, and retail --- and lead the teams that execute them. You'll sit directly below the director on the assurance side, filling the space between senior leadership and staff, with a clear runway to grow. What You'll Do Plan, manage, and review audit engagements from start to finish Lead and develop audit staff and seniors on engagement teams Own client relationships across a diverse industry mix Manage workflow and quality through reporting deadlines Bridge the gap between the assurance director and the staff team What You Bring 7-10 years of audit experience in public accounting (5+ considered with the right depth) Strong engagement management and review skills Experience leading teams and working directly with clients CPA (strongly preferred; required for the advancement path) Interest in a smaller‑firm environment with real variety and a voice What's Offered $100,000-$150,000 base, plus discretionary year-end bonus Firm pays 70% of health insurance, 401(k) match , and tax-free student loan assistance Vacation/Sick time, + banked busy‑season hours as additional paid time off, and summer Fridays off CPA support and mentorship for your team, plus commission on any clients you bring in Hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office), no overnight travel, and a clear path to ownership We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
