Surgical Technologist II Certified

Reacts professionally to unexpected changes.
Understands and uses instrumentation and equipment properly and works with service specialist to improve surgeon preference cards.
Demonstrates ability to apply and enforce principles of sterile technique throughout surgical procedure, maintain sharp safety, ensure medication safety on the surgical field, competence in surgical counts, anticipate surgeon's requests on assigned surgical procedures.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. High School diploma or GED;
Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program or Associates Degree or Military trained.
State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration (DORA); Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification; Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
