Accounting Manager

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established residential construction company in Albuquerque, NM to identify an experienced Accounting Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys leading a small team, improving processes, and partnering closely with executive leadership to support the financial health of a growing organization. Key Responsibilities: Partner with the CFO to oversee daily accounting operations and supervise a small accounting team. Prepare, review, and present accurate financial statements, reports, and account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP. Review journal entries, accounts payable aging reports, and supporting accounting workpapers for accuracy and completeness. Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, compliance reporting, and annual audit preparation. Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, strengthen internal controls, and streamline accounting processes. Develop and maintain reporting tools that support business decision-making. Support special projects and seasonal accounting initiatives as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience. Prior experience leading or mentoring accounting staff. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with a strong emphasis on financial reporting and analysis. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications: Cost accounting experience. Residential construction industry experience.
