Role Overview: A full-time evening Phlebotomist responsible for specimen collection, processing, and entry across hospital, patient service centers, or mobile sites. Key Responsibilities: Perform specimen collection, ensuring proper patient and specimen identification. Accurately enter and verify patient, test, and clinical data into systems. Prepare samples for testing, deliver specimens to technical areas, and assist with initial processing. Maintain quality standards, document work accurately, and participate in quality assurance efforts. Manage departmental supplies, reduce waste, and support cost-effective practices. Provide professional communication with patients and colleagues, ensuring excellent customer service. Adhere to patient privacy regulations (HIPAA) and departmental policies. Qualifications & Skills: Minimum age of 18, high school diploma or equivalent (dependent on state). Completion of a phlebotomy program or relevant experience, with certification per state requirements. Ability to obtain necessary certifications and licenses, including fingerprinting if required. Valid driver's license and flexibility to work at multiple locations, including weekends and holidays. Preferred: bilingual skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and additional healthcare education.
