At KinderKids Learning Center, we believe the Infant Room isn't just where the youngest children start their day — it's where they experience their very first classroom, their first sense of trust outside home, and their first teacher who notices everything: the new coo, the wobbly roll-over, the tiny fist finally opening to grab a rattle. We're looking for a Lead Infant Teacher who sees that work as sacred — and who brings warmth, structure, and genuine joy to it every single day.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

• Leading daily care and developmentally appropriate activities for infants (6 weeks–12 months), following Alabama DHR ratio and safety requirements
• Tracking and documenting individual feeding, sleeping, and diapering schedules, and communicating them clearly to families every day
• Creating a soft, sensory-rich environment that supports early brain development — tummy time, sensory bins, music, and lots of narrated talk (yes, we talk to babies like they're already having full conversations — because developmentally, they kind of are)
• Partnering with parents as true teammates, not just recipients of a daily report sheet
• Mentoring and directing the work of Assistant Infant Teachers in your room
• Maintaining all licensing, CACFP, and health/safety documentation required for infant care in Alabama
• Being a calm, steady presence — because babies read your energy before they read anything else

What You Bring

• Experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting (required)
• Current or willingness to obtain Alabama DHR-required clearances, health screening, and infant/child CPR & First Aid certification
• A patient, nurturing temperament and genuine love for the 0–12 month age group specifically (not just "good with kids" — good with babies)
• Strong communication skills for daily parent updates and collaborative teamwork
• Reliability and punctuality — infant rooms run on rhythm, and that rhythm depends on you

Early Childhood Education coursework or CDA credential a plus, but heart for this age group matters more than the paper. Why Teachers Stay at KinderKids

Compensation: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
