Executive Underwriter Primary ES Casualty

We are seeking an experienced Executive Underwriter specialized in Primary Excess & Surplus (E&S) Casualty lines to join a dynamic team. This role focuses on underwriting commercial insurance policies primarily for general liability and construction risks within the wholesale broker markets. Key Responsibilities: Lead underwriting efforts in the Primary E&S Casualty space, focusing on non-admitted markets. Assess and evaluate risks within the designated territory, providing expertise in construction and general liability exposures. Develop and maintain strong broker relationships in the wholesale insurance markets. Analyze complex underwriting submissions to determine appropriate risk placement and pricing strategies. Collaborate closely with underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams to ensure alignment on risk appetite and portfolio performance. Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to team development and growth. Stay current with industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging risks. Qualifications: Proven expertise in Primary E&S Casualty underwriting, with a strong background in construction and general liability. In-depth knowledge of wholesale broker markets and non-admitted insurance products. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risks and make sound underwriting decisions.
