Registered Nurse (RN), Medical-Surgical Unit-II Job Title: RN 12.5 Hr Shift Location: Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, 94 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039 Department: Medical-Surgical Unit-II Employment Status: Full-Time (Hourly) Pay Range: $47.85 - $60.60 per hour Shift: Evening – 12.5‑hour shifts, 37.5 hours per week, every other weekend required Job Overview Organize and administer individualized age‑specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Support the philosophy, objectives, and mission and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practice in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements, and other regulatory agencies. Participate in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participate in Unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Completion of all orientation requirements by Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing Certifications and Licenses Required Active NJ RN License Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Scheduling Requirements Full-Time Night shift 12.5‑hour shifts 37.5 hours weekly Every other weekend required Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs Other Duties This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
