Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN General)

This position involves administering nursing care within the scope of practice. Responsibilities include administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, inserting catheters, and performing wound care. The nurse will assist with physical exams, treatments, and emergency interventions. Duties also include maintaining medication accountability records and documenting patient conditions. The role requires providing general nursing care and assisting with daily living activities. There is an expectation to provide training and guidance to lower-level direct care staff. Additional responsibilities include ordering medical supplies and performing clerical tasks. Knowledge of nursing procedures, pharmacology, first-aid, and patient care is essential. Skill in operating medical equipment and familiarity with HIPAA regulations is required. The nurse must be prepared to participate in staff meetings and training sessions as assigned. Teamwork and effective communication skills are crucial for this position.
