AML Analyst

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking an AML Analyst to join their team. As an AML Analyst, you will be part of the Compliance Department supporting the AML and BSA modeling initiatives. The ideal candidate will have analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Proficiently develop, validate, or review AML, BSA, and KYC models including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, alert prioritization, or customer risk rating models.
• Serve as auditor-in-charge, independently running internal audits and providing effective challenge to ensure model integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Assess data quality, conceptual soundness, and outcome analysis for various analytical models, including traditional statistical, machine learning, and hybrid models.
• Evaluate and validate models leveraging emerging technologies such as Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Generative AI for financial crime detection and customer due diligence.
• Lead audit teams, develop risk-based audit programs, and communicate findings to senior management with actionable recommendations.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in model development, validation, or review within AML/BSA/KYC frameworks.
• Experience with AML, BSA, and KYC models, including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer risk assessment.
• Strong understanding of model risk management, data quality assessment, and regulatory compliance across various analytical models.
• Preferred experience evaluating AI models, including ML, NLP, and GenAI, with knowledge of AI governance, bias, fairness, and regulatory expectations.
