ARRT Certified MRI Technologist - Night Shift

Deliver exceptional healthcare services by performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and related procedures to produce detailed sectional anatomic images.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Conduct MRI procedures with precision, ensuring patient clinical history aligns with the imaging protocol and is properly documented for licensed practitioners.
• Prepare patients by providing clear instructions to achieve optimal results, ease cooperation, and reduce anxiety.
• Operate MRI equipment and accessories, selecting appropriate scanning parameters and protocols as directed by radiologists.
• Position and immobilize patients comfortably to best capture the area of interest while applying magnet safety principles to protect patients and staff.
• Assist licensed physicians during procedures and manage both physical and psychological patient needs throughout.
• Perform venipunctures and administer contrast media safely as prescribed.
• Evaluate image quality, adjust display parameters, and maintain accurate records.
• Initiate basic life support when necessary and perform diagnostic radiographic procedures as needed.
• Educate patients and their families about tests and procedures in a compassionate manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, report equipment issues, and contribute to supply management.
• Provide practical training to students and healthcare professionals and participate in quality assessment initiatives.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited School of Radiographic Technology. Proven experience as a radiographer with knowledge to successfully complete MRI procedures and ongoing education in cross-sectional anatomy.

Licensure and Certifications:

Must hold state certification and be an ARRT Registered Technologist (R.T.(R)) in good standing. ARRT MRI certification (R.T.(MR)) required at hire or within two years of employment.

Work Environment:

Night shift position with potential on-call duties to provide technical support outside regular hours. This role is based in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
