Location: Dimondale, MI

Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Pay Rate: $70/hr on C2C / 1099 all inclusive (OR) $65/hr on W2

Job Description

The client is looking for a candidate with a focus on basic cloud engineering Cloud deployment. This role will wear multiple hats assisting client Cloud Architects and team to comprehend objectives, generate solutions, POC the solution, generate recommendations then implement the decisions. The Entry-Level Cloud Engineer will support the client’s cloud architecture and engineering teams in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based solutions across public, private, and hybrid environments. This role is ideal for early-career technologists who have foundational cloud knowledge and are eager to grow into a full cloud engineering or cloud architecture role. The engineer will assist senior architects in understanding business objectives, developing solution concepts, performing proof-of-concepts, and implementing cloud technologies that improve delivery, automation, and operational efficiency.

Other desired skills: Containerization, Linux, Database skills, security and recovery, web services and applications programming interfaces (APIs) Support integration of cloud services with on-premises technologies (VMware, Cisco, Dell, Nutanix, etc.). Leverage client Institutional knowledge to cloud engineering projects.

Top Skills & Years of Experience

Required:

• Cloud Delivery Analyst / Business Analyst 1-3 years
• Knowledge of concepts of designing and developing dynamic Cloud solutions in Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services and moving parts involved in continuous integration and delivery. 1-3 years
• Experience with Tooling and Automation to enable seamless automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration. 1-3 years

Highly Desirable:

• Pipeline Design and Architecture to improve development flow and delivery.
• Solid understanding and skill with DevOps, web services and application programming interfaces (APIs). 1-3 years
• Create, maintain, and troubleshooting skills for cloud infrastructure 1-3 years
• Foundational institutional knowledge of State of Michigan platforms, cloud architecture, security requirements and processes. 1-3 years
• Cloud security and compliance experience 1-3 years
• Certification(s): Google – Cloud Certified Cloud Digital Leader AWS – Certified Cloud Practitioner
