Location: CityGate Grille Reports to: General Manager Status: Hourly Non-Exempt Compensation Range: $9.00/hour plus gratuity, commensurate with experience and education Age Requirements: Must be 16+ Additional Requirements: Must be available weekdays and weekends from 4pm-10pm.

Role Summary: The Food Runner is responsible for creating an excellent dining experience for each CityGate Grille guest through positive personal interaction and timely service. The ideal candidate has a confident demeanor and embodies the spirit of hospitality. The ideal candidate is able to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Works as part of a cohesive front of house team to provide quality service.
• Responsible for keeping the pace of service.
• Removes items and cleans dining room tables in a timely manner according to protocol.
• Prompt and correct delivery of food orders to the dining room tables as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• Illinois Food Handler Certification is preferred.

Experience:

• One year of related restaurant experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.

Skills:

• Neat and clean appearance.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work nights weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk and stand for up to 8 hours a day, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill job duties
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs regularly, and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
