Required Skills

• Valid RN license in Texas or a valid compact state license
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in OR/Surgical nursing
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to document accurately and efficiently
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Nice to Have Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Advanced certifications such as CNOR or perioperative courses
• Knowledge of sedation or pain management protocols
• Bilingual abilities to better serve diverse patient populations

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience working in an OR or surgical environment

Other Requirements

• Willingness to travel and work shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, including one weekend per month (approx. 7 days)
• Ability to adapt to various hospital policies and procedures
• Willingness to undergo background checks and compliance screening
