A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Correctional Health Care Position

Pay rate- $45.00-50.00 an hour paid weekly

Hours:

• Part-Time position with potential availability for up to 40 hours per week.
• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Weekend coverage may be required based on operational needs.
• No set schedule; hours are based on facility openings and operational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing services and direct patient care within a correctional healthcare setting.
• Administer prescribed medications, including insulin injections, topical medications, and other medications within scope of practice.
• Perform and document narcotic counts and medication administration.
• Monitor and assess patient health conditions, including obtaining and recording vital signs.
• Perform routine nursing treatments and procedures, including catheter care, enemas, and suppositories as prescribed.
• Observe patient behavior and physical condition and report changes to medical staff.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records and complete required documentation.
• Communicate patient conditions and concerns to physicians and supervisory personnel.
• Assist with emergency response and provide first aid when necessary.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy healthcare environment while following correctional facility policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to support quality patient care.

Requirements:

• Current, active, and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Connecticut .
