Pay and Benefits Salary Range – $88,000 - $116,500 per year Medical, Dental, Vision benefits available day 1 of employment Supplemental benefits available on day 30 of employment Eligible for 401(k) with a company match available on day 90 of employment Educational Support via tuition reimbursement and scholarship program Competitive bonus programs Work Shift and Location 6750 Benedict Road W, East Syracuse, NY 13057 3156 Byrne Hollow Crossing, Cortland, NY 13045 Monday – Friday Job Overview The Process Engineer plays a key role in executing assigned engineering tasks, providing sound judgement and expertise related to receiving, batching, pasteurization, and storage processes for fluid milk and other raw ingredients. Key Responsibilities Use critical thinking and expert judgement to diagnose problems and identify improvement opportunities. Support fluid milk process design and instrumentation selection for operational and capital improvements, including development of P&IDs, device specifications, and related materials. Troubleshoot and maintain electrical control systems, electromechanical equipment, and related instrumentation and controls for machines and manufacturing processes. Design, implement, and execute process data collection and analysis. Identify and execute recommended and required logical and visual programming changes to SCADA systems and equipment. Assist in the maintenance and support of SCADA and other industrial software systems. Mentor and train employees in the duties and skills of this role as assigned or required. Actively support the lifecycle of change and configuration management for equipment and processes. Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation in well‑organized repositories, including but not limited to proposed and approved changes, trial and production configurations, maintenance activities, performance/quality reporting, and related communications. Track and regularly report on key performance metrics to leadership as assigned. Develop and present potential actions/changes to lower risk, increase value/benefits, and/or leverage available resources to improve work cell performance. Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, external vendors, and within the organization. Lead and support development of capital project planning and strategic capital planning processes. Develop subject‑matter expertise within the industry for equipment, processes, and innovation to support strategic initiatives. Partner with other departments to foster innovation, support product launches, improve operational performance, and support the company’s strategic initiatives. Responsible for leading a culture of continuous improvement in all areas while balancing quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of GED or High School Diploma is required. Dairy processing education and/or experience are strongly preferred. Experience with PLCs, machine HMIs, motor/servo drives, process instrumentation (proximity, temperature, level, conductivity, pressure) is strongly preferred. 1–2 years’ experience in industrial process automation is preferred. Experience working in a multi‑site manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience with industrial utilities is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
