Occupational Therapist (OT)Highland Health & Rehabilitation of Cascadia is looking for a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll help residents regain independence, confidence, and quality of life through personalized, hands-on care — all while being part of a supportive, team-oriented skilled nursing environment.If you're passionate about helping others reach their fullest potential and want to grow your career in a facility that values clinical excellence and collaboration, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoAssess referred patients' medical condition, functional capabilities, and rehabilitation potentialDesign and administer individualized treatment programs with clear, achievable goals under physician directionDocument patient progress and communicate status/needs to patients, families, and the care teamDelegate appropriate treatment to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and provide clinical supervisionDirect COTAs and Rehab Aides in skilled tasks, ensuring compliance with State Practice Acts and OBRABuild strong, trust-based relationships with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staffParticipate in care planning, utilization review, case management, and family conferencesEducate patients and families on occupational therapy techniques and home strategiesWhat You BringEducation:Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapyLicensure/Certification:Current state license as an Occupational TherapistCurrent CPR certificationExperience:Six months of long-term care experience preferred (new grads with strong clinical training encouraged to apply)Skills:Strong communicator who can explain treatment plans clearly to residents, families, and staffCommitment to patient confidentiality and professionalismReliable, punctual, and dependable team playerWhy Highland Health & Rehabilitation of Cascadia?We're proud to offer a workplace where clinical staff are respected, supported, and given the resources to do their best work for the residents we serve in the Bellingham community.Ready to bring your skills to a team that values you?
