Designer- Security Products

Responsibilities Develop comprehensive application solutions and estimates for strategic, complex, and alliance account opportunities focused on State and Government sales. Collaborate with Sales Executives, Engineers, and Project Managers to design integrated electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection. Produce detailed design specifications, proposals, and bills of materials, using tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, and manufacturer‑specific platforms. Architect complex hardware and software security solutions, creating project plans, and conducting consultative sessions to analyze technical and process data. Maintain knowledge of industry standards (UL, NFPA, NEC) and prepare exception documentation and submittal requirements for RFPs. Lead product rollout initiatives and serve as liaison with major manufacturers, developing custom solutions and internal documentation. Provide technical and software design support during system startup and ongoing support, including updates and customer service. Visit local customers and projects within New York to deliver solutions and support. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years’ experience designing, pricing, and implementing integrated security systems. Proficiency in access control, IP video, intrusion detection, CCTV systems, and security system design tools. Excellent communication, documentation, and strategic thinking skills. Ability to collaborate across teams and travel to customer sites. Salary and Benefits Salary Range: $85,000 – $117,000. This range reflects the target compensation for the role and may be adjusted for exceptional qualifications.
