About the Role:
Colon Rectal Associates of Central New York is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our specialized clinical team in Camillus, NY. Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures
• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories accurately in the EMR system
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sanitation and supply stocking
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the supervising physician
• Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up appointments
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre- and post-procedure instructions
• Handle specimen collection, labeling, and processing for laboratory submission

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
• Prior clinical experience in a medical office or specialty practice setting preferred- 2+ years 
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) software
• Strong phlebotomy and vital signs skills
• Excellent interpersonal and patient communication skills
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
• Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced specialty clinic
