Services include advanced gastrointestinal procedures such as colonoscopy and capsule endoscopy, as well as evaluation and management of a variety of liver conditions, including hepatitis, fatty liver disease, cirrhosis, liver cancer, and inherited liver disorders. Gastroenterology - ChristianaCare Cecil County As a Medical Assistant I , you will assist physicians during the examination and treatment of patients, whether through virtual or on-site appointments. This role is crucial for delivering quality patient care and encompasses various clinical and clerical duties within medical practice. Duties / Responsibilities The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access. Position Qualifications High School Graduate or GED required. A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
