Mechatronics & Robotics Tech

Role Overview As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. Your work will enable the installation, upkeep, and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment, and you will mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles. Key Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more. Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities. Physical Requirements You must be able to move up to 49 lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head. Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. Certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls. 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 2+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics. 2+ years of experience demonstrating safety standards. 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and diagnosing material handling equipment (MHE). Preferred Qualifications Experience with robotic operation and maintenance. 2+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles. Associate's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering. 2+ years of experience in Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship. Work Environment & Schedule Shift assignments are determined by operational requirements and scheduling constraints; a specific shift assignment cannot be guaranteed.
