Position Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for supporting construction quality through routine field inspections, documentation, and verification of work against approved plans, specifications, and quality standards. This role identifies and communicates quality concerns, supports corrective actions and project closeout, and works closely with project teams and contractors to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with project requirements. The position requires travel to project sites and work in field and outdoor construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of construction activities to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Review work for compliance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Document inspection findings, completed work, and quality issues.
• Identify and communicate quality concerns to project and field personnel.
• Assist with tracking corrective actions, punch-list items, and other quality-related issues.
• Maintain accurate inspection and quality records.
• Assist with reviewing testing and inspection documentation.
• Work with contractors and field teams to address and resolve quality issues.
• Support project closeout and turnover activities.
• Follow company safety, quality, and project procedures.
• Travel to project sites and work in various field and outdoor construction environments.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of construction, quality, inspection, or related field experience preferred.
• Experience in wind, renewable energy, construction, or EPC projects is a plus.
• Ability to read basic construction drawings and specifications.
• Basic understanding of construction quality practices.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to document findings accurately and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Willingness to travel and work at remote project locations.

  Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience on wind or other renewable energy construction projects.
• Familiarity with BOP construction, QA/QC inspections, ITPs, punch lists, and NCRs.
• Construction or quality-related training or certification.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in an outdoor construction environment and on active project sites. 
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around a construction site for extended periods. 
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated work areas as needed. 
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach as required to inspect and observe field activities. 
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, tools, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds. 
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain. 
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility clothing, and safety footwear. 
• Ability to maintain situational awareness around heavy equipment, vehicles, electrical systems, and other construction hazards. 
• Ability to travel to and work at project sites as required.
