Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients at a ratio of 1:2
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage independently and without supervision
• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care
• Document patient care accurately using electronic health record systems
• Float to Mother Baby unit as needed to support unit staffing requirements
• Participate in weekend rotation, including potential for more frequent weekend assignments to meet unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license valid in California (compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum of 1.5 years of Labor and Delivery experience; at least 2 years preferred
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (hard stop requirement)
• Current ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and NRP certifications
• Demonstrated ability to perform sterile vaginal exams and triage independently
• Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Labor and Delivery experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience floating to Mother Baby or similar postpartum units
• Familiarity with Meditech charting systems
