What You\'ll Do Reviewing and interpreting physician medication orders Identifying therapeutic incompatibilities and medication concerns Preparing, dispensing, packaging, and labeling prescriptions accurately Monitoring drug therapies and recommending clinical interventions Providing medication counseling and pharmaceutical guidance to patients and healthcare providers Supervising and verifying pharmacy technician workflow, prescription processing, and data entry Maintaining compliance with all FDA, DEA, EPA, federal, state, and Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations Managing controlled substance accountability and pharmacy inventory Training and mentoring pharmacy staff, interns, externs, residents, and healthcare professionals Supporting infection control standards and maintaining a clean, safe pharmacy environment Staying current with continuing education requirements, industry best practices, and regulatory changes What Makes You Successful Exceptional clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge Strong ethical standards and professional judgment Excellent communication and patient counseling skills Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment Dedication to superior patient and customer service Qualifications Required Skills & Knowledge Medication dispensing and therapy management Knowledge of FDA, DEA, EPA, and Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations Legal compliance and documentation standards Process management and operational oversight Strong verbal communication and analytical skills Education & Licensure Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Current Pharmacist License in the State of Texas License in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) The Difference You Can Make Every prescription reviewed, every patient counseled, and every clinical recommendation made has the potential to improve someone's quality of life.
