Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery to provide comprehensive care in a high-volume maternity unit. This role involves clinical review, patient monitoring, and team collaboration during night shifts, with potential cross-training into Mother/Baby and NICU areas.

Responsibilities:

Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to both low-risk and high-risk obstetric patients, including maternal fetal medicine cases.
Perform fetal monitoring and participate in clinical reviews to ensure optimal maternal and fetal outcomes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and precepted staff to coordinate patient care and respond quickly to emergent situations.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, interventions, and compliance with hospital policies.
Assist in scheduled and unscheduled cross-training to Mother/Baby and NICU units, floating within scope of practice as needed.
Support a positive patient experience by providing education, emotional support, and ensuring comfort during labor and delivery.

Qualifications:

Valid nursing license in the assigned state, with pending licenses accepted if in process and verified by Wednesday prior to start.
Minimum 2 years of recent labor and delivery experience, including high-risk obstetrics and fetal monitoring.
BLS, Fetal Monitoring, and NRP certifications required; AWHONN intermediate preferred.
Proven ability to work night shifts (4x12 hours), including weekends and select holidays.
Ability to cross-train and float between Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, and NICU units.
Demonstrated familiarity with electronic medical records and compliance documentation.
