Maintenance Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician to support daily operations by maintaining and repairing plant equipment. This role is essential to ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and overall production efficiency.

Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm
$20 - $22/hour plus $2/hour attendance bonus

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair plant equipment including bag line systems, augers, legs, mixers, and conditioners
• Service and maintain forklifts, front-end loaders, pallet jacks, and air compressors
• Maintain pesticide impregnating equipment and pumps
• Perform maintenance on Cambelt unloading systems
• Complete and maintain accurate service logs for all equipment
• Issue purchase orders and approve invoices for maintenance-related supplies
• Perform electrical, plumbing, lubrication, and general construction tasks as needed
• Assist with department budgeting and cost tracking

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in industrial or plant maintenance preferred
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
