You are an employee of NurseCore.Responsibilities:Initiate peripheral IV access, including IV insertion, as orderedAssess and select appropriate peripheral IV insertion sitesAdminister prescribed IV medications, fluids, and infusion therapiesAccess, manage, and maintain PICC lines, central lines, and implanted ports as applicable to the assignmentPerform central line/PICC dressing changes and site care using sterile technique, as orderedFlush and maintain vascular access devices according to physician orders and agency protocolsAssess patients before, during, and after infusion therapyMonitor vital signs and patient response throughout treatmentAssess IV and vascular access sites for infiltration, phlebitis, infection, occlusion, or other complicationsRecognize and respond appropriately to adverse reactions and infusion-related complicationsDiscontinue peripheral IV access as ordered or appropriate to the plan of careMaintain proper infection control, aseptic, and sterile techniquesProvide patient and caregiver education regarding infusion therapy and vascular access careAccurately document assessments, treatments, medications, and patient responsesCommunicate changes in the patient's condition to the appropriate clinical teamFollow physician orders, the established plan of care, and applicable agency policies and proceduresQualifications:Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of FloridaMinimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in a supervised setting within the past three (3) yearsIV/infusion nursing experience requiredProficient in peripheral IV insertion, including the ability to independently establish IV accessExperience with PICC lines, central lines, and implanted ports preferredKnowledge of vascular access device management, sterile technique, and infection preventionAbility to recognize and respond appropriately to infusion-related reactions and complicationsCurrent CPR/BLS certificationSuccessful completion of required Relias competency and skills assessmentsValid AHCA Level 2 Background Screening or ability to obtainNegative TB screening within the past 1 year or chest X-ray within the past 5 yearsHome infusion and/or home care experience preferredStrong patient assessment, communication, and clinical documentation skillsAbility to work independently and provide safe, high-quality care in the home settingReliable transportationMust meet all applicable state and federal requirementsEqual Opportunity Statement - We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to building a team that reflects the diverse communities we serve.
