Construction Project Manager

Overview Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager for a prominent Oil and Gas client in Houston, TX. The ideal client has broad experience managing large to small projects, often complex, in terms of delivery. This highly skilled professional will be managing 5 project managers and client relationships. The portfolio of projects includes renovations, new construction, and expansions. With the client experiencing significant growth in recent years, they are seeking an experienced professional to help continue their success and expansion. Job Locations: Columbus, Ohio Houston, Texas What You Will Do This will include the actual execution of the project and will also involve pre-construction planning with stakeholders, designers, consultants, clients, and other project team members. Develop and organize assignments, timetables, and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project. Organize and direct construction personnel and ensure that materials and equipment resources are delivered on time. Interact with planning commissions and governing bodies. Coordinate costing estimation, contract negotiation, and remodeling activities. Under general direction, responsible for the profitable execution of assigned construction projects. Oversee construction project meetings, observe critical construction activities, lead progress meetings, sub-contractor coordination meetings, and other critical construction events, ensuring sub-contractors perform and behave in line with client and company expectations. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Other related industry certifications are encouraged - PMP, and CPM. Experience with projects such as new construction, renovations, and infrastructure renewals. Minimum of 6 years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry Proficient in Project Management, project scheduling software (Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6), and financial accounting systems. Advanced working knowledge of project scheduling and documentation techniques and processes. Position Summary Lead or coordinate construction projects, such as developing a new facility, the addition, expansion, or extension of an existing facility, or renovation/alterations to a facility in collaboration with the project team, construction site, and management. Develop assignments, timetables, and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project. Organize and direct construction personnel and ensure that materials and equipment resources are delivered on time. Interact with planning commissions and governing bodies. Coordinate costing estimation, contract negotiation, and remodeling activities. Under general direction, responsible for the profitable execution of assigned construction projects. Ensure that assigned projects are done accurately, on time, billed, within budget, and within the scope of the contract. Minimum Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Minimum Management Experience - 5 years Minimum Management Experience - 5 years supervisory experience in construction or engineering related field MUST HAVE Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 6 years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry. 5 years supervisory experience in construction or engineering-related field. Experience with projects such as new construction, renovations, and infrastructure renewals. Proficient in Project Management, project scheduling software (Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6), and financial accounting systems.
