Maintenance Electrician - 1st Shift

The Stow Company is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Maintenance Electrician located in Nampa, ID. We are the country’s premier source for custom closets and organizational solutions; designed, custom-cut, and shipped directly to our clients. Position Summary: This position maintains production equipment and the working facility to enable teams to safely manufacture high quality products in an efficient, timely and complete manner. Essential Functions: Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment Complete a variety of projects as assigned Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, and PLC issues Utilize basic machining tools, powered hand tools, and other maintenance-related equipment Read machine drawings and control schematics Apply electrical, electronic, and PLC experience Other Responsibilities: Adhere to all safety requirements Participate in problem-solving initiatives, Kaizen events, and lean manufacturing activities Other duties as assigned Lives Company values on a daily basis Poses no direct threat to the health or safety of themselves, of others, or to property. Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation Requires regular attendance to perform essential elements as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation, and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: Journeyman Electricians License issued by the state of Idaho 5-10 years Manufacturing/Industrial Automation experience preferred Certifications/Licenses/Registrations: Valid driver’s license Knowledge / Skills/Abilities: Demonstrate excellent listening and communication skills Exhibit strong attention to detail Solid analytical skills Able to work quickly and efficiently Able to work both independently and as part of a team Actively participates in all team meetings and events Interpersonal skills in order to work effectively with individuals both internally and externally to The Stow Company Must have the ability to interface with all levels of personnel in an office and a manufacturing environment Ability to take the initiative and work well independently with little supervision, and as part of a team PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: Able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, etc. Able to perform full range of body movements, such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling Able to perform activities requiring repetitive motions Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds Able to tolerate an environment where sawdust particles are present Ability to provide and receive communication in an environment with a high level of ambient noise Sitting at workstation approximately 5 percent of work time Standing and walking approximately 95 percent of work time Must be able to travel between plant and office locations Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice Manufacturing environment with multiple machinery and moving parts, narrow aisles and passageways The Stow Company may temporarily assign any team member with duties outside of their normal responsibilities. Such assignments may be warranted due to a variety of specific requirements, conditions and/or the capabilities of available personnel. Management will determine the nature and duration of those assignments. Schedule: 4 x 10 rotating weekday schedule.
