ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves working in a fast-paced, critical care environment, providing high-quality nursing care to patients in need of intensive monitoring and treatment.

Job Details

• Unit: ICU
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• CCRN (preferred)

Shift Notes

• 12-hour night shifts
• Two weekends per four weeks
• Holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Float to medical-surgical telemetry and telemetry floors as needed, managing a full patient load.
• Respond to rapidly changing clinical conditions and provide interventions as necessary.
• Utilize strong IV skills, with support from an in-house IV team.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, managing patients with various diagnoses, including sepsis, DKA, COPD, CVA, and GI bleeds.
• Adhere to the ABCDE bundle for patient management.
• Participate in a structured orientation, including two shifts in the ICU and one shift on the appropriate floor.

• Staffing Ratios: 1 nurse to 2 patients
• Emergency Medical Record System: Cerner
• Pharmacy and Respiratory Therapy: Available 24/7
