James Montana AIA is a boutique Architectural endeavor offering services across a range of building typologies. While small, we strive to meet client demands in a thoughtful way ranging from design excellence to thorough building documentation. Where You Fit In We’re looking for an entry level design intern - someone either in school or recently graduated looking to get their hands dirty in all aspects of the business. To wit, you’ll be engaging in every facet of Architecture, from design to production, including marketing and even client facing roles. It’s frenetic work, but hopefully rewarding for someone who wants to do a little bit of everything! Qualifications Required We’re looking for someone enrolled in an a NAAB accredited Architecture program, or recently graduated. The perfect fit is someone who is not afraid to roll up one’s sleeves and go to task. We utilize the following programs / skills: Software + Skills Revit Twinmotion Microsoft Office Suite Core Duties You’ll assist in the development of projects from conception to completion. We currently have a backlog of about 9-10 projects, with the smallest being single-family residences, and the largest being multi-family mixed use construction. As with all small operations, you won’t just be designing, you’ll be modeling in Revit, doing CA work, leading meetings, and assisting around the office. Bad news? We all sweep and dust together. The good news? You’ll be outfitted in every aspect of the architectural business. Pay Depending on the strength of the portfolio and availability of the applicant, we plan to offer between $22.00 - $25.00 per hour, with an option of either 20 hours per week or 40 hours per week. Please note this job is not remote. You will be required to come into the office, due to the needs of the job. Timeline We are looking at a job timeline of September - December for the duration of the internship. Since this is during the schoolyear, we will be offering part time options for anyone interested. If you’re looking for something more long term, that’s great because we are too! If you’re a recent graduate looking for a career, and we find you’re a good fit, we’ll revisit after 90 days, as we’d love to make a permanent addition to the team!
