Join Hillsborough County Public Schools as an Asst Tchr-AA Lvl . Summary : Test coordinator. The Assistant Teacher, Associates Degree Level, assists teachers with the instructional program through individual/small group tutoring and/or directing classroom activities within a computer lab. District Expectations : Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance. Support the district’s vision, mission, goals, and Strategic Plan. Engage in civility, respect, and professionalism. Maintain the professional knowledge and skills necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of their positions. Responsibilities : Administers pre- and post-tests for identified deficient standards/skills. Grades and files papers in student folders. Assigns appropriate worksheets and learning activities based on identified student needs. Tutors individual and small groups of students. Maintains records of student progress on assigned activities and worksheets. Replenishes and reproduces instructional materials and tests. Confers with teachers and assists teachers on student performance and instructional planning. Checks and maintains computer lab and equipment/supplies. Supervises student behavior with and without teacher assistance. Schedules students for computer lab and/or individual/small group instructional sessions. Participates in school activities and special events. Participates in conferences with parents of students. Performs any other duties as assigned.
